- Malaysia aims to boost intra-ASEAN trade and investments, striving for a highly integrated, competitive, and innovative ASEAN that is resilient and inclusive.
- Promoting Inclusivity and Sustainability:
- The focus is on ensuring that all ASEAN member states, regardless of size or economic status, have equal opportunities to participate in regional initiatives.
- Sustainability emphasizes the importance of environmental protection, social responsibility, and economic resilience in the region’s development.
- Improving Economic Connectivity:
- Efforts are directed toward enhancing connectivity among ASEAN economies to facilitate smoother trade and investment flows.
- Building Digital Resilience:
- Malaysia is working to strengthen the digital infrastructure of ASEAN countries, ensuring that the region can effectively navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
- Addressing Climate Change and Human Rights:
- The ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) has highlighted climate action and inclusivity as key priorities.
